Donald Richard Kotila, age 87, of Fremont, passed away on Monday, April 18, 2022, at Fountain View Retirement Home in Grant. Don was born on February 26, 1935, in Detroit, to Carl Oscar and Elizabeth (Hall) Kotila and had married Marilyn Louise Cooper on July 3, 1965, in Berkley, Michigan. Don had been a laboratory technician at Grace Hospital in Detroit until his retirement and enjoyed classical music. Don was a member of All Saints Catholic Church in Fremont. Don is survived by his daughter, Eileen (Mike) Krim of Fremont; grandson, Michael Aaron Krim of Fremont; brother and sister, Jack Kotila of Garden City and Nancy (Bill) Yeates of Nevada. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn; daughter, Diane Kotila; and brother, Gordon Kotila. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 AM on Friday, April 29, 2022, at the All Saints Catholic Church with Father Peter Schafer officiating.
