Obituary

Donald C. Lambert, age 74 of White Cloud, passed away Saturday, December 20, 2008 at his home. Don was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and great great grandfather to many. Don was born on August 17, 1934 in Detroit, Michigan to Alexander Joseph and Margaret (Trombley) Lambert and met and later married Carolyn Dunbar on June 6, 1958 in Taylor, Michigan. Don joined the United States Navy shortly after high school and spent over 20 years with the Navy where he served during the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam Era until his retirement in 1970 as Senior Chief Petty Officer. Don moved to the White Cloud area in 1974 after his retirement and continued work as a service technician in the heating and cooling industry. Don enjoyed spending time in the Michigan woods and camping. Don was the strength and foundation of his family and truly cherished the time he spent with his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Carolyn of White Cloud; his children, Donald L. (Brenda) Lambert of Milan, Tennessee; Terri Lambert (Paula Swartz) of El Cajon, California; Scott (Lisa) Lambert of Howard City; Angela M. (Anthony) Dooley of White Cloud; multiple greatly loved grandchildren, great grandchildren; and great great grandchildren; many many nieces and nephews; his sister, Vivian Mathers of Hesperia, California; his brother, Henry Lambert of Eagar, Arizona. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Patricia Raymo, Virginia Gina Jackson; his brother, Raymond Pete Lambert. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, December 24, 2008 at 11am at the Aetna Calvary Church in White Cloud with Pastor Phil Jones of the Aetna Calvary Church presiding with interment in the Goodwell Township Cemetery. Friends may consider the NCCS Childrens Christmas Fund or the American Diabetes Association for memorial contributions in memory of Don.
