Donald Stanley Lysakowski, age 88, of White Cloud went to join our Lord on Thursday, April 2, 2020, with his family by his side. Don was born on January 3, 1932, in Iron Mountain, Michigan to Stanley and Elizabeth (Cassidy) Lysakowski and married Mary Dumais on September 18, 1954 in Kirkland Lake, Ontario. Don was a loving husband, wonderful father, grandfather, and best PaPa ever. He lived a faithful life of taking care of his family. Don proudly served in the United States Air Force as a Master Sergeant for 22 years. Don then worked as a Loan Officer for Michigan National Bank and retired after 20 years of service. He was a member of the PRCA Polish Home and enjoyed the many gatherings and dinners. Don loved to Polka, fish, garden, and just keeping busy all the time. His love of God, family, and life reflected on all who knew and came into contact with him. He will truly be missed by family here and across the Canadian border.
Don is survived by his loving wife, Mary; children, David (Caren) Lysakowski of Garden City, Denny (Todd Schneider) Lysakowski of Traverse City, Debra (Chuck) Taber of Albion, and Diana (Ron Smith) Lysakowski of White Cloud; sister, Jerry Pelner; and brother-in-law, Don Johnston. He so loved and cherished his 9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, great great-grandchild, and the many fur babies that have touched his life. Don was preceded in death by his daughter, Denise Lysakowski; sister, Pat Johnston; and brother, John Lysakowski.
