Donald A. Reagan, age 89 of Fremont, passed away Saturday March 26th, 2016 at home, surrounded by his family. Don was born on the 22nd of December, 1926 in Casnovia Township, Michigan to Emery and Lillian (Riley) Reagan and married Beatrice Jane Pascoe on April 4th, 1947 in Muskegon Heights, Michigan. Don served his country during WWII in the First Division of the United States Marine Corp, achieving the rank of Sergeant and serving in Okinawa and throughout the Pacific theater and was awarded the Purple Heart and was a member of the Croton American Legion Post#381. Following the war, Don worked in construction and was a journeyman-plasterer for over 40 years. Don and his wife Jane had been residents of Bridgeton for over 45 years where they had owned and operated D & J Pools & Spas for many years. Don had also served in his community of Bridgeton Township as well as Croton Township for over 30 years as Building Official and Zoning Administrator. Don was preceded in death by his youngest son, Timothy Reagan on July 12th, 2013, his parents Emery and Lillian Reagan, his brother Emery Bud Reagan Jr, his sister Ruth (Raymond) Greek, and brothers Kenneth Reagan and Terrence Reagan. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, B. Jane Reagan, his daughter Theresa Jayne Reagan-Smith (Larry Smith), and son Michael E. (Susan) Reagan and daughter-in-law Gwene Reagan of Fremont, 7 grandchildren, Geoffrey Erickson of Southfield, Michigan, Roderick Erickson of Virginia, Mandi Craig of Fremont, Alesha (Brian) Wozny of Germany, Angela Reagan of Norfolk, Virginia, Chad (Jennifer) Reagan of Fremont, Deanna Billings of Fremont; 7 great-grandchildren, Jessica Erickson, Ryleigh and Casey Reagan, Lyllian Craig and Jacob and Daniel Wozny and Raymond Billings, as well as seven brothers and sisters: Walt (Betty) Reagan of Muskegon, Geraldine (Marlan) Howe of Pierson, Michigan, Joann (Richard) Loss of Portland, Oregon, Patrick (Dolly) Reagan of Idaho, Arlan Art (Gail) Reagan and Raymond (DeLynn) Reagan of Pierson, Michigan and Patricia Ann (Donald) Reagan-Bollinger of Idaho, plus numerous nephews and nieces. Friends and family may share memories and condolences on the Crandell Funeral Home website at www.crandellfh.com or at the Memorial/Celebration of Dons Life to be held from 1pm to 5pm, Saturday, April 2nd at the Bridgeton Township Hall 11830 South Warner Ave, Grant Michigan 49327. A Ceremony Celebrating Dons life will begin at 2PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Paralyzed Veterans of Michigan can be made in honor of Donald Reagans life and devotion to country.
