Trapp, Donald Paul Donald Paul Trapp, age 80 of White Cloud, passed away Sunday, August 26, 2007 at the Transitional Health Services in Fremont. Don was born on April 15, 1927 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Juluis and Lydia (VanDyke) Trapp and later married Betty Hoogerhyde on October 31, 1945 in Grand Rapids. Don moved to the White Cloud area in April 1949 from Grand Rapids and had been a clerk in the engineering department at Gerber Products Company for 26 years until his retirement in 1989. Don was a faithful member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in White Cloud and was also member of the Knights of Columbus. Don was the former president of the Parent Teachers Group at White Cloud Schools and had served as Vice President of the White Cloud Co-Op for several years. Don enjoyed farming, crocheting, raising canaries and treasured the time he spent with his loving wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Betty; his children, Judy (Lon) Rauch of White Cloud; Donna (Joe) Kukal of White Cloud; Terry (Janice) Trapp of White Cloud; Juluis (Wanda) Trapp of White Cloud; Donald C. (Linda) Trapp of White Cloud; Linda DeLong and special friend, Matt Birdsall of White Cloud; Mary Ann (Tom) Huss of Fremont; 17 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Juluis and Lydia and by his brother, Charles Trapp. Mass of Resurrection Services were held on Wednesday, August 29, 2007 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in White Cloud with military rites under the auspices of the Newaygo V.F.W. Sportsman's Post #4249 and interment in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in White Cloud. Friends may consider the St. Joseph Catholic Church Building Fund for memorial contributions in memory of Don.
