Donald C. Wills, age 83 of Fremont, passed away Thursday, July 26, 2001 at his home. He was born on July 28, 1917 in Bear Lake, Michigan to Martin John and Eugenia Rosalee (Stienbring) Wills and married Clara Burt on October 4, 1940 in Hart, Michigan. He has been a resident of the Fremont Area since 1961 where he enjoyed hunting, fishing and bowling and was a former member of the Fremont Lions Club and Fremont Moose Lodge. He had been a chief steward at Continental Motors Company for several years and later operated the Shell Gas Station and the Osceola Gas Station in Fremont and also operated a gas station in Kent City. He was a former Sullivan Township School Board member. He is survived by his wife, Clara of Fremont; his children, April (John) Hallberg of Comstock Park; Claudette (Walt) Weston of Grand Rapids; Laura Powers of Fremont; Donald (Pat) Wills Jr. of Fremont; 8 grandchildren, Timothy, Jonathan, Michelle, Deborah, Claranne, Joseph, Melinda, Donnie; 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Ann Miller; Art Wills; Arnold Wills; Edith Kruscka. Private graveside services were held at a later time at the West Hesperia Cemetery in Hesperia.
