Donna May (Geers) Moore, age 74 of Grant, passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at the Fountain View Retirement Village in Grant following a short illness. Donna was born on May 5, 1935 in Grant to Lincoln and Agnes (Wells) Chase and has been a lifelong resident of the Grant area. Donna married Nelson Geers on May 5, 1956 in Grant and Nelson preceded her in death on December 17, 1995. Donna was also preceded in death by her son, Todd Nelson Geers in 1971. Donna later married Addison Moore on June 25, 1997 in Muskegon. Donna had worked at Viking Foods in Muskegon for 10 years and later enjoyed driving school bus for the Neway Center in Newaygo. Donna owned and operated many rental properties in the Grant area through the years as well. Donna enjoyed reading, especially her bible on a daily basis. She attended the Bailey Christian Church in Bailey and the Shore Line Christ Fellowship in Muskegon Donna is survived by her husband, Addison Moore of Grant; her children, Sandra Pixie (Jim) Kildas of Keller, Texas; Rich (Mary) Geers of Grant; Marv (Heather) Geers of Grant; Neil (Keryl) Geers of Grant; 12 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; her brothers and sisters, Vernon Chase of Muskegon; Ilene (Lawrence) Hubbard of Grant; Jean (Leon) Hubbard of Twin Lake; Joyce (Lloyd) Hopper of Whitehall; Al Chase of White Cloud; her step son, Brian (Charlotte) Moore of Buffalo, New York; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Clifford Chase; Garnet Thompson; Maxine Gutowski; Dale Chase; Doris Campbell; Lois Tanis. VISITATION : Sunday, February 14, 2010 from 2-5pm at the Crandell Funeral Home Fremont Chapel. SERVICES : Private graveside services INTERMENT : Ashland Township Cemetery.
