Donna Marie Nelson, age 59 of White Cloud, passed away Saturday, June 12, 2004 at the Spectrum Health Butterworth Campus in Grand Rapids. She was born on September 8, 1944 in White Cloud to Donald and Emma E. (Eldred) Johnson and graduated from White Cloud High School. She later married Robert Nelson on December 17, 1966 in Fremont. Robert preceded her in death on December 22, 1998. She has been a lifelong resident of the White Cloud area where she worked in the deli department at Housemans Food and formerly owned and operated the Peaceful Acres Motel in White Cloud for 20 years. She is survived by her children, Kenneth (Koral) Nelson of White Cloud; Tammy (David) Dix of Newaygo; Jeffrey (Erin) Nelson of White Cloud; Tina (James) Butler of Baldwin; Robert D. Nelson of White Cloud; Greg (Rosana) Nelson of White Cloud; 21 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; her brother, Leonard (Novella) Johnson of Fremont; her sisters, Nadalyn (Carl) Zmrzlik of White Cloud; Kathleen (Earnest) Kantola of White Cloud; Ellen Johnson of White Cloud; Linda (Gary) Smalligan of Fremont; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert in 1998; her father Donald in 1966 and her mother, Emma in 2003. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, June 16, 2004 from the Crandell Funeral Home White Cloud Chapel with Rev. Jeff Bowman of the White Cloud United Methodist Church presiding with interment in the White Cloud Cemetery.
