Basinski, Doris Jean Doris Jean Basinski, age 83 of White Cloud, passed away Saturday, April 28, 2007 at the Metron Nursing Center in Big Rapids. Doris was born on August 7, 1923 in Iowa to Michael David and Daisy (Nearhood) Ament and later married Robert Basinski. Robert preceded her in death. Doris has been a resident of the White Cloud area for the past 20 plus years and had attended the Big Jackson Community Church. She had worked at Baker Furniture Company in Grand Rapids as a polisher for many years until her retirement. She is survived by her children, William Edward (Delores) Cross of White Cloud; Kenneth Eugene (Bonnie) Cross of White Cloud; Cheryl Jean (Richard) Plotts of White Cloud; Terry Lee Cross of White Cloud; 13 grandchildren; several great and great great grandchildren; her brother, Lesley (Colleen) Ament of Texas. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Bobby Ament and Ronny Ament. Private graveside services were held at the Big Prairie Everett Township Cemetery with Pastor Ryan Shrable of the Big Jackson Community Church presiding.
