Doris Evelyn Bock, age 96 of Fremont, passed away, Monday, January 30, 2023 at her home following a short decline in her health. Doris was born on October 1, 1926 in Greenwood Township, Oceana County to Alexander Joseph and Rose (Dore) McGee and graduated from Fremont High School in 1943. Doris met and later married Frank Lee Bock on December 31, 1956 at St. Michael Catholic Church in Brunswick. Frank preceded her in death on January 16, 2015. Doris has been a lifelong resident of the Fremont area where she had worked at the Gerber Products Company in the Janitorial Department until her retirement in 1985. Doris enjoyed jigsaw and crossword puzzles, reading, listening to all types of music, sewing, crocheting, and had been a 4-H Leader in her younger years. Doris especially treasured the time she spent raising her family. Doris is survived by her children, Richard "Buck" (Terry) McGee of Norton Shores; Jeanne Bock of Fremont; Frank (Cindy) Bock of Fremont; Joni Kison of North Muskegon; Julie Rogers of North Muskegon; 9 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; son-in-law, David Kison; daughter-in-law, Carol Dunning; several special nieces and nephews. Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; son and daughter-in-law, Bill & Pat McGee; her grandson, Joey Bock; sisters, Dorothy Brown and Rosella London; her brothers, Frances McGee and James McGee; daughter-in-law, Mary McGee; son-in-law, Robert Rogers. FUNERAL SERVICES : Saturday, February 4, 2023 at 4pm at the Crandell Funeral Home – Fremont Chapel. INTERMENT : St. Michael Catholic Cemetery in Brunswick in the spring of 2023.
