Hansen, Doris M. (Schurkamp) Doris M. (Schurkamp) Hansen, age 81 of Fremont, passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2005 at her home in Fremont. She was born on August 29, 1924 in Twin Lake to Grover and Florence (Trowbridge) Townsend and married Avert Schurkamp on January 3, 1940 in Twin Lake. Avert preceded her in death in 1979. She later married Norvel Hansen in 1985 and he preceded her in death in 1995. She has been a lifelong resident of the Twin Lake, Holton and Fremont area where she was a homemaker. She was a member of the Birthday Club, Rinky Dinks Club, an avid card player, enjoyed crossword puzzles, and reading of which she read 2 or more books a day. She was a member of the Twin Lake United Methodist Church. She is survived by her children, Michael Schurkamp of Ann Arbor; Sheri (Erwin) Moon of Fremont; Sandy (Ray) Crumbley of Auburndale, Florida; 6 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; her brothers and sisters, Don (Maxine) Townsend of Twin Lake; Grover (Marilyn) Townsend of Pahrump, Nevada; Roland (Angeline) Townsend of Florida; Gerald (Virginia) Townsend of Fremont; Jackie (Don) Matteson of Gentry, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by 1 son, Wayne Schurkamp. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, December 13, 2005 at Crandell Funeral Home - Fremont Chapel with Rev. Larry Wood presiding with interment in the Twin Lake Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2005 from 1-2 at the Crandell Funeral Home - Fremont Chapel.
