Dorothy Elizabeth Bush, age 86, of Hesperia, Michigan, passed away on Wednesday, July 10th, 2024. She was born on Saturday, December 11th, 1937 in Ludington, Michigan to Walter Devello Phillips and Christiana May Phillips.

Dorothy was a dedicated custodian at Hesperia Public Schools for over 25 years. She was a member at Countryside Christian Fellowship for several years and enjoyed spending time with her family, going to the river, reading, gardening, and being outdoors. Dorothy had a love for feeding hummingbirds and picking morel mushrooms.

She is survived by her son, Walter Joseph "Joe" (Donna) Bush of Hesperia, MI; sisters, Barb Benton, Donna (Don) Maxwell, Dianna Okaski; grandchildren, Joedy (Rick) Peterson, Paul (Kathy) Clark, Josh Bush, Ryan Bush, Jessie Wells, Jake Ingalls; great grandchildren, Caleb, Catherine, Brandon, Kirsten, Maddy, Rowan, Lexi, and Hayden; and 2 great great grandchildren.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, Walter Leroy Bush; son, Douglas L. "Creature" Bush; daughter, Mary Lou Replogle; parents, Walter and Christina Phillips; brothers, Rudy, Billy, Bob, Walt, Richard Phillips; sister, Flossie Van Avery; and grandmother, Elizabeth Croff.

Dorothy will be dearly missed by all who knew her, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.

A private family graveside service will be held at West Hesperia Cemetery. There will be a service held at the Hesperia American Legion on July 20, 2024 from 2pm-4pm for family and friends to come, share memories, and enjoy fellowship.
