Dorothy Vivian Fenske, age 87 of Grant, passed away Monday, September 01, 2008 at My Fathers House Adult Foster Care Home in White Cloud. Dorothy was born on March 3, 1921 in Grand Rapids to Howard and Augusta (Isenhart) Braybrook and later met and married Harold Fenske on June 30, 1942 in Grand Rapids. Harold preceded her in death on February 18, 1998. Dorothy has been a longtime resident of the Grant area where she was a devoted housewife and enjoyed sewing, cooking, crafts, working with stained glass, gardening and canning in her home. Dorothy had worked at Cherry Hill Processing, had been a school bus driver for Grant Public Schools, worked as a cashier at Cox Market and had been a waitress at Lambs Restaurant in Grant. Dorothy is survived by her children, Don (Theresa) Fenske of Grant; Darlene Fenske of Grant; Bob (Lon) Fenske; 7 grandchildren, Jason, Kevin, Kenny, Linda, Danny, Han; several great grandchildren; her sister, Dolores Dunlap of Grant. She was preceded in death by husband, Harold and by her brother, Ted Braybrook. Cremation has taken place and burial will take place with Harold in the Parkview Cemetery in Grant.
