Dorothy J. Fry, age 88 of White Cloud, passed away Sunday, October 14 2018 at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility in Fremont. Dorothy was born on August 8, 1930 in Chicago, Illinois to LeRoy and Helen (Staszkie) Howard and moved to White Cloud at an early age. Dorothy graduated from White Cloud High School in 1948 and met and married Ellis Fry on January 20, 1962 in White Cloud. Ellis preceded her in death on December 8, 2017. Dorothy had worked at the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services Family Independence Agency as a social worker for many years until her retirement in 1991. Dorothy was a former member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, a charter member of the White Cloud Eagles, enjoyed reading, word search and crossword puzzles, knitting and shopping. In her younger years she was an avid bowler and enjoyed spending time on their houseboat but especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and eating chocolate. Dorothy is survived by her children, Karen (Alvin) Baird of Fremont; Edward (Lisa) Fry of Rockford; Terri (Charles) Oyler of Muskegon; Patti (David) McGough of Muskegon; 8 grandchildren, Sydney and Sierra Baird, Ashlyn and Griffin Fry; W.J and Amy Oyler; Rachel and Kattie McGough; her sisters-in-laws, Lois Dunham of Greenville; Jeri Fry of White Cloud; several nieces and nephews.
