Dorothy Ann Harris, age 76 of Newaygo passed away Sunday, January 19, 2014 at her home. Dorothy was born on July 28, 1937 in Wheeler, Montana to Theodore John and Jessie Dorothy (Schultz) Brummer and married Gerald W. Harris on March 8, 1965 in Newaygo. Gerald preceded her in death on May 3, 2007. Dorothy had been a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, fishing, shopping, cooking, playing cards and spending time with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dorothy is survived by her children, Michael (Sandra Whorton) Frisbey of White Cloud; Carol (Ronald) Harmon of Newaygo; Rhonda (Jim) Lomonaco of Wyoming, Michigan; her grandchildren, Eric Frisbey, Melisa Platz, Gerald Anderson, Terry (Amanda) VanWestrienen, April (Brian) Battjes, Jessica Rasmussen, Melissa (Eric) Vegter, Amy Mix, Brian Lomonaco, Chad (Alaina Everett) Lomonaco and; her great-grandchildren, Zane Frisbey, Michael Anderson, Kimberly Anderson, Gerald Anderson II, Samantha VanWestrienen, Mason Battjes, Michael Battjes, Taylor Battjes, Quinn Rasmussen Jr., Emma Rasmussen, Collin Rasmussen, Baylee Vegter, Nolan Vegter, Michael Mix III, Andrew Mix, Isaac Mix, and Lily Everett; her sister, Katheryn Allman and her brother, Kenneth (Mary) Brummer. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald, her daughter, Shelly Kae Harris in 1966; her brothers, Theodore Brummer, William Brummer, Richard Brummer, Joe Brummer; her sisters, Carol Grant, Elizabeth Brummer, and Mary Brummer. FUNERAL SERVICES will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at 12pm at the Crandell Funeral Home White Cloud Chapel with Father Loc Trinh presiding with a TIME OF VISITATION from 10-12 at the Crandell Funeral Home White Cloud Chapel. Interment will take place at the Goodwell Township Cemetery in the spring. Friends may consider memorial contributions to the Dorothy Ann Harris Family for a memorial to be determined later.
