Dorothy Z. James, age 98 of White Cloud and formerly of Berwyn, Illinois, passed away peacefully at her daughters home in White Cloud. Dorothy was born on December 6, 1919 in Chicago to Clarence and Alice (Carroll) Zaabel and later married Wilbur A. James in 1946 in California. Wilbur preceded her in death in 1995. Dorothy was a lifelong resident of Berwyn, Illinois where she lived for 96 years until she moved to White Cloud with her daughter. Dorothy had been a ward clerk at the Oak Park Hospital for several years until her retirement. Dorothy truly enjoyed her family and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren whenever she was able. Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Nancy (Pete) Kardos of White Cloud; her grandchildren, Wayne (Della Drew) Holt; Bill James; Pete (April) Kardos Jr.; Kari (Patrick Kelleher) Kardos; Kevin (Erica Kramer) James; Andrea Juliano; Amanda James; Scott James; her sister, Flo Supay of Wisconsin. Visitation will be at the Kuratko-Nosek Funeral Home and Cremation Services 2447 S. DesPlaines Avenue, North Riverside, IL 60546.
