Dorothy M. Jibson, age 86, of Fremont, passed away Saturday , April 14, 2001, at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility in Fremont. She was born on March 3, 1915, in Cedar Creek Township, Muskegon County, to Anson and Lois (Parker) Vanderboegh. She married Howard Jibson on November 27, 1934, in Indiana. Howard preceded her in death on October 29, 1970. She owned and operated the 7 Mile Inn in Bridgeton for many years, was a friend of the Fremont Christian Church, Disciples of Christ in Fremont, and was a life member of the Women of Moose. She is survived by her daughters, Lois Phillips of Muskegon; Lorraine (Robert) Maroles of Meadville, Pennsylvania; son, David (Jane) Jibson of Fremont; 8 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and brother, Daniel Vanderboegh of Fruitport. She was preceded in death by her daughter Janice Hink on December 28, 2000 and brother, Amos Vanderboegh on December 3, 2000. Memorial Services were held on Friday, April 27, 2001, at 1:00 p.m. from the Crandell Funeral Home Chapel in Fremont with Rev. David Dickinson presiding. Interment is in Holton Oakwood Cemetery.
