Dorothy Jane LaBelle, age 68 of Howard City, formerly of White Cloud, passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at the Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. Dorothy was born on April 5, 1945 in Muskegon to Edmond Joseph and Julia Jane (Moon) Schaub and later married Henry LaBelle on July 27, 1996 in White Cloud. Dorothy had received her Bachelor's Degree as a Para legal from Davenport College and had worked at Keeler Brass and Midwest Components until her retirement. Dorothy was a member of Christ The King Catholic Church in Howard City and had enjoyed gaming, fishing, flea markets, yard sales and auctions. Dorothy is survived by her children, Rita Ann Bulson of Howard City; Lloyd (Pauline) LaBelle of White Cloud; Joseph (Tonyia) LaBelle of White Cloud; Debra (Bruce) LaBelle of Fremont; 23 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; her sisters and brother, Elsie (Mike) Kymes of White Cloud; Edward Schaub of Bradenton, Florida; Carol Peterson of Summerville, Florida; Annette (David) Crisler of Fremont; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her infant son, Christopher Ray; 5 grandchildren; her father, Edmond Schaub; her mother, Julia Champion; step father, Roland Champion; brothers, Ralph, Arnold and Paul Schaub. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at 2:00 pm at the Sherman Township Hall 2168 S Wisner Fremont, Michigan 49412 with interment in the Sherman Township Cemetery. Friends may consider memorial contributions to the Dorothy LaBelle family, c/o Crandell Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses and cemetery monument.
