Dorothy Dottie Marie Hanson Reynolds Willey, age 99 of Fremont, formerly of Muskegon, passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at the Fountain View Retirement Village in Fremont. Dorothy was born on August 19, 1916 in Grand Rapids and graduated from Fremont High School in 1934. Dottie continued her education and graduated from beauty school and soon opened a beauty shop with her partner, Peggy White. Dottie later worked at as an assistant credit manager at Sears in Muskegon until her retirement in 1996 when she moved to the Hesperia area. Dottie married Raymond Mike Reynolds on February 2, 1936 in Hesperia and Mike preceded her in death on February 11, 1992. She later married Bertram Willey on April 29, 1993 and spent their summers in Hendersonville, North Carolina and winters in Bradenton, Florida. Bertram preceded her in death on August 19, 2006. Dottie enjoyed spending her winters in Florida and sewing, knitting, and crocheting. Dottie loved shuffling and became a Professional Shuffler in 1993 and had won many titles and trophies. She had been an active member of the Muskegon Eagles Drill Team, had been a youth leader and Sunday School teacher at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church and also director of the Girls at Stoney Lake Lutheran Bible Camp for many years. In 2007, Dottie moved into Fountain View Retirement Village in Fremont and was currently a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Fremont. Dottie is survived by her daughters, Lois (Allen) Witham of Hesperia; Joanne (B. Paul) Grasley of Fremont; Lynda (Thomas) Theile of Hesperia; 10 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren; several step grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Christina (Anderson) and Hilder Hanson and her brother, Kenneth Hanson.
