Rev. Dorothy Marie Ritchie, age 83 of Grand Rapids, formerly of White Cloud, passed away Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at the Spectrum Health Blodgett Campus in Grand Rapids following complications from a surgery. Dorothy was born on July 3, 1936 in Grand Rapids. Dorothy owned and operated Dorothy's Happy Hair in White Cloud and Munising for 18 years and had also been a dance instructor, telephone operator, cosmetologist – instructor and mentor, and became an ordained minister later in her life. Dorothy enjoyed crocheting blankies and scrubbies, dancing, and watching old-time black and white movies. Some of Dorothy's highlights in her life included traveling to the Holy Land in Israel, officiating her granddaughter's wedding, and raising her family. She was known to many for her infectious joy, her love for Christ and her unconditional love. Dorothy is survived by her children, Stacha "Staci" (Ben) Wilkes; Lola (Michael) Kuhn; Germaine (Rickie) Minton; Felix (Choi) Boucher; Gary (Ann) Boucher; 14 grandchildren; over 20 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
