Dorothy May Saxton, age 97 of Hesperia, passed away Thursday, July 23, 2020 at the Transitional Health Services in Fremont. Dorothy was born on May 8, 1923 in Fremont to Fred W. and Clara Field and has been a lifelong resident of the Hesperia area. Dorothy married Clayton Johnson and he preceded her in death. She later married Dulph Saxton and he preceded her in death in 1971. Dorothy had been a homemaker all her life and enjoyed crafts, needlework, crocheting and knitting; was well known for her cooking skills and caregiving heart. Dorothy is survived by her son, Larry (Mary Ann) Saxton of Fremont; her daughter, Mildred (Lee) Parrot; her grandchildren, Brian, Jeff, Brent, Jennifer, Rachel, Lee, and Nicole; 9 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Clayton Johnson and Dulph Saxton; her son, Jack Johnson; her sisters, Ethel Uganski and Elsie DeVries; and her brothers, Edward, Earl, Robert Field. Graveside services : Thursday, July 30, 2020 at 3pm at the Oakwood Cemetery 8580 Holton Road Holton Michigan 49425 with Pastor Justin Blackwood of the Aetna Calvary Church presiding.
