Allwelt, Douglas H. Douglas H. Allwelt, age 48 of White Cloud, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 15, 2006 at his home. Doug was born on July 5, 1957 in Grand Rapids to Roy and Mary (Hewitt) Allwelt and has been a resident of the White Cloud are for the past 7 years. He enjoyed fixing and building old cars, fishing and woodworking and had been a self employed boat maker. He also served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. He is survived by his children, Tina (Michael) Williams of Hesperia; Douglas Allwelt of Hesperia; Michael Allwelt of White Cloud; James Allwelt of Hesperia; Jeremy Allwelt of Hesperia; Jennifer Allwelt of Hesperia; his grandchildren, Christopher James Sperd; Joshua Christian LaPorte; Rachel Host; Rebecca Craner; Sierra Lynn Thomas; his sister, Linda (Doug) Schultz of Arizona; his brothers, Dick (Jane) Allwelt of Mattawan; Don (Janet) Allwelt of Greenville; Dave (Joan) Allwelt; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held on Thursday, April 20, 2006 from the Crandell Funeral Home White Cloud Chapel with Pastor Joe Szendre of the Set Free Correctional Ministry presiding with interment in the White Cloud Cemetery.
