IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Duane Bryan
Liescheidt
February 8, 1958 – February 25, 2026
Duane Bryan Liescheidt of White Cloud, the love of our lives, husband, dad, grandpa, brother, and friend, jumped into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, February 25, 2026.
Duane was born to William Howard and Augusta Anna (Brehe) Liescheidt, on February 8, 1958 in St. Louis, Missouri.
He attended Lutheran Elementary and Middle School and then transferred to Lindburgh High School where he graduated in 1976. He went on to earn his AAS in Mechanical Engineering at Forest Park College in St. Louis. He worked many years as a draftsman and engineer, designing and building machines. He was also an expert with 5 th grade science projects. Duane could design and build anything. His kids always bragged that “my dad can fix anything!” And they were right. He was a genius.
Later, Duane started a new adventure when he decided to drive bus for White Cloud Public Schools. He took as much pride in his bus route as he did designing and building amazing machines. To this day, there are students who remember him fondly and say that he was their favorite bus driver ever. He also worked as a paraprofessional at White Cloud Elementary School where he loved helping students. Being the big kid that he was, his favorite time of the day was recess.
Duane married Barbara Ann Page on March 24, 1990. Together they built a family of 7 children. Needless to say, there was never a dull moment in the Liescheidt household. Duane loved attending any event where his kids were involved. From wrestling to volleyball, to football, basketball, baseball, soccer, and band concerts. He was an avid photographer as well, and we have pictures of everything that happened in our lives over the last 36 years to prove it.
Duane is survived by his wife, Barbara Page-Liescheidt of White Cloud, his children Christopher (Jen) Liescheidt of Fullerton, CA and their children Delilah and Macie; Tracey (Greg) Oosterhouse of Harrietta, MI, and their children Anya, Philip and Ryan Margaret; Melissa (Chris) Price of Rockford, MI and their children Vivienne and Elliana; Preston Liescheidt of Northampton, MA and his warrior princess Xena (his pooch); Shanae Liescheidt of Grand Rapids, MI and her children Jaylah and Jace; and Emily (Derek Duncan) Liescheidt and their children Penelope and Ila.
Duane also had many bonus kids, including Patrick (Rae Ann) Dake of Sparta, MI and their children Allana, Alexis, Paige, and Drew; Kelly Bowman of White Cloud, MI; Aliya Osborne of Grand Rapids, MI; and his bonus granddaughter, Audrey Ann Proctor and Baby Luca of La Porte, IN.
Also surviving are his brothers Douglas (Valerie) Liescheidt of Arnold, MO; Daniel (Tammi) Liescheidt of Dogtown, MO; sisters in-law Vicki (David) Parrotte of Grand Rapids, MI; Karen (Jerry) Poplin of Wesley Chapel, NC; Laura (Rob) Arnold of White Cloud, MI; Joyce Winchel of Fremont, MI; and his many precious nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his beautiful daughter, Teana Nicole Liescheidt, his parents, Bill and Gussie Liescheidt, his brother Donald Liescheidt, his mother-in-law Ila Page, and his brother in-law Brad Winchel.
Duane leaves a legacy of so much love, tons of laughter and an overabundance of weirdness.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at Crandell Funeral Home, 7193 West 48 th Street, Fremont, MI 49412. Visitation with family will be from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. with the service at 12:00 p.m. Following the service, a luncheon will be held at the White Cloud Elementary School Cafeteria, 585 Pine Hill, White Cloud, MI 49349.
Memorial contributions can be made to White Cloud Elementary School to be used for the S.T.E.M. Program in honor of Duane’s love for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.
