E. Verna Vanderboegh, age 90 of Holton, passed away Saturday, August 7, 2010, at the Transitional Health Services in Fremont. She was born on September 4, 1919, in Hesperia to Sumner and Etha (Markilli) Medbury and married Amos Rudy Vanderboegh on November 3, 1937, in Indiana. She has been a longtime resident of the Holton area and was a member of the Holton Ladies Aid, Holton United Methodist Church and Holton United Methodist Women. She is survived by her children, Joanne (Ronald F.) Dalton of Perry, Florida, and Ronald (Zola) Vanderboegh of Twin Lake; daughter-in-law, Julie Vanderboegh of Holton; 10 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Amos in 2000; son, Jack in 2009; grandson, Daniel; great-grandson, Lance; and half sister, Josephine Stevens. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 9, 2010, from 5 8 PM at the Crandell Funeral Home in Fremont. Funeral services will be on Tuesday at 11 AM from the Holton United Methodist Church with Rev. Jerry Selleck presiding. Interment will be in the Oakwood Cemetery in Holton. Friends may consider the Holton United Methodist Church for memorial contributions.
