Earl Lee Machiele, age 66, of Newaygo passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2003 at his home with his family at his side. He was born on March 2, 1937 in Zeeland to Simon & Lena (Boes) Machiele and married Deanna Rose Blodgett on June 29, 1957 in Hudsonville. He was a railroad conductor with CSX Railroad for over 30 years and a member of the United Transportation Union in Plymouth . Earl was a member of the White Cloud United Methodist Church. Earl is survived by his loving wife Deanna of Newaygo; children, Dawn Corrigan of Fremont, Randall (Becky) Machiele of Newaygo, Crystal (Jeff Blenkarn) Watrous of Rockford, Lora (Joe) Jahr of White Cloud, and Michelle (Jake) Granzo of White Cloud; 10 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; sisters, Viola Dokter of Holland, Gladys (Donald) Japinga of Holland, and Sylvia (Marvin) Dirkse of Holland; and brother Vern (Delores) Machiele of Holland. Funeral services were held on held on Friday, July 11, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. from the Crandell Funeral Home in Fremont .
