Edith Adella Franich, age 94, of Fremont and formerly of White Cloud, passed away on Saturday, February 12, 2011, at Spectrum Health - Gerber Memorial. Edith was born on June 27, 1916, in Holton, to Joseph and Lillie F. (Woodring) Essenberg and married Antone Edward Franich on June 7, 1952, in Fremont. Edith had worked at Gerber Products Company in Fremont and was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in White Cloud. Edith is survived by her daughter Laurajean Franich of Albuquerue, New Mexico; 5 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Tony, in 1987; daughter Deanna May Johnson in 1980; 1 granddaughter; and sister, Mabel Douma. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, February 17, 2011, at 11 AM, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in White Cloud. There will be visitation on Wednesday evening from 5 - 7 PM at the Crandell Funeal Home in White Cloud. Interment will be in St Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
