Edith L. Edie Reineke, age 81 of Fremont, formerly of Muskegon and Naples, Florida, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at the Boone Watauga Medical Center in Boone, North Carolina. Edie was born on April 30, 1929 on the family homestead in Fremont to Carl Herbert and Pearl Susan (Dove) Jones and later married Robert Reineke in 1948 in Muskegon. Robert preceded her in death on February 24, 1998. Edie worked at the North Muskegon Public Schools for 15 years and then obtained her realtors license and sold real estate in Muskegon for Gary Bogner and Albert Galy Realty for 10 years. Edie then moved to Naples, Florida and worked for Murray and Associates and JB Novelli Century 21 for 15 years until her retirement. Edie enjoyed visiting with her family, her family dogs, traveling and enjoyed helping her husband, Robert run the Edie L. Charter Service out of Muskegon. She was a member of the Temple Methodist Church in Muskegon Heights and most recently the Sneads United Methodist Church in Sneads, Florida. She is survived by her sons, Richard Rick Reineke of Vernon, Florida; Robert Reineke of Troy, New York; grandchildren, William and Kathryn; sisters, Ethel Burd of Santa Barbara, California; Nila (Howard) Noble of Muskegon; her brothers, Herbert (Carolyn) Jones of Montague; Robert (Evelyn) Jones of Fremont; several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her sister, Iola Johnson and brother, Willis Jones. VISITATION : Monday, July 19, 2010 from 12-1pm at the Fremont United Methodist Church. FUNERAL SERVICES : Monday at 1pm at the Fremont United Methodist Church. INTERMENT : Maple Grove Cemetery. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS : Newaygo County Commission on Aging for the Meals on Wheels program. I lived in the neighborhood and grew quite fond of Bob and Edie. I met Edie one night at the Murray R.E. office and she came out and said Hello even tho I had long hair and owned a home. We became friends. I was always so impressed when she was on the phone always taking notes! She will greatly be Missed. I got out of MH&R on Sat.(the Rehab) and Fil slept away Sunday night. God was so good. He knew me and my or "our" daughter to the end. He told me a short time before that he was Happy. The services were beautiful with Rusty and the new preacher. Eddie,Rhonda and Kathy did "The Long Black Train" and a short medley of religious songs. It was not you but next best.
