Edmond J. Moore, age 74 of White Cloud, formerly of Wyoming, Michigan, passed away Saturday, April 14, 2018 at his home on Diamond Lake. Edmond was born on April 5, 1944 in Detroit to Edmund "RC" and Maxine Betty (Jacobs) Moore. Edmond was drafted into the United States Army and served during the Vietnam War. Edmond married Janice Hamilton on September 18, 1964 in Wyoming. Edmond had been a glazer in the glass industry for many years and retired from Vos Glass in Grand Rapids. Edmond and Janice started traveling to the family cottage on Diamond Lake in 1964 and moved to the area on a permanent basis in 2009. He enjoyed spending his weekends at Diamond Lake prior to retirement and then all his time on the lake. Edmond enjoyed the Michigan outdoors, hunting, playing softball, bluegill fishing and hunting and fishing trip to the Western United States and Canada. Edmond was a member of the Turkey Federation, NRA and the Croton American Legion Post #381. Edmond is survived by his wife of 54 years, Janice of White Cloud; his children, Edmond Moore of White Cloud; Steve (Shellie Neuhaus) Moore of Wyoming; Melissa Moore Witkoski (fiancé, Newell Kolbe) of Grand Rapids; his grandchildren, RC (Kelsey) Moore, Seth Moore, Sam Moore, Justin Witkoski, Courtney Witkoski; 6 great grandchildren; his sister, Dianne (Dave) Langworthy of Grand Rapids; his brother, Wayne (Kelly) Moore of Grand Rapids; step brother, Terry (Linda) Keizer of Grand Rapids. Edmond was preceded in death by his mother, Maxine Keizer; his father, Edmund "RC" Moore; and his sister, Linda Overzet. Celebration of Life Services will be held at the family home on Diamond Lake in the summer of 2018. Friends may consider memorial contributions to Spectrum Health Foundation for Spectrum Health Hospice in memory of Edmond.
