Edna Darling Edna J. Darling, age 95, of Fremont, passed away Sunday, April 9, 2000 at Heartland Health Care Center in Whitehall. She was born on September 18, 1904 in Cadillac to Edward J. and Frances (Matzdorf) Darling. Edna worked for many years for the Department of Agriculture in Fremont before retirement. Her interest included gardening, music, and art. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Edward J. Darling, in 1957; mother, Frances Darling, in 1954; and sister Eloise Frances Campisi. Funeral services were held on Thursday, April 13, 2000, at Crandell Funeral Home Chapel in Fremont with Rev. Father Donn Tufts of St. Michaels Catholic Church as Celebrant with interment in Maple Grove Cemetery. Friends are asked to consider The Fremont Area Foundation for the St. Michaels Catholic School Endowment Fund for a more lasting memorial.
