Edward Spencer Feldpausch, age 83 of White Cloud, passed away Thursday, October 21, 2004 at the Spectrum Health Blodgett Campus in Grand Rapids. Edward was born on June 28, 1921 in Hastings, Michigan to Herman and Mary (Spencer) Feldpausch and later married Georgiana Pasik on September 23, 1944 in River Rouge, Michigan. Georgiana preceded him in death on June 1, 2003. Edward had been a manager, buyer and butcher for Shinners Meat Market in Detroit and later worked as a meat manager and butcher at several other grocery stores, including Birds Food Market and A & P Stores. He enjoyed spending time with his family, cribbage and pinochle card playing, boating and fishing. Edward also served in the United States Army. He is survived by his daughter-in-law, MaryAnn Feldpausch of Welaka, Florida; his grandchildren, Chris (Terri) Feldpausch of White Cloud; Jennifer (Art) Lawrence of Bowling Green, Kentucky; Mark Feldpausch of Fremont; Matt (Leanne) Feldpausch of White Cloud; Cathy (Randy) Schafer of Beal City, Michigan; Daniel Feldpausch of Welaka, Florida; Marjorie Johnson of Welaka, Florida; Sally Feldpausch of Orlando, Florida; Carol Feldpausch of Orlando, Florida; Joseph Feldpausch of Gainesville, Florida; Abigail Feldpausch of Welaka, Florida; 20 great grandchildren; his sisters, Lenora Feldpausch; JoAnn Ford; Marilyn Riker; Connie Snore. He was preceded in death by his son, Edward Feldpausch Jr. in 2000; by his siblings, Helena Todd Sammons; Rosemary Curtis Leonhardt; Teresa Hemmes; Jean Sprague; Donald Feldpausch; Louis Feldpausch. Funeral memorial Mass services were held on Saturday, October 30, 2004 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in White Cloud with Rev. Father Tony Russo presiding with interment in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Friends may consider the Commission On Aging for memorial contributions in memory of Edward.
