Obituary

Edward J. Heideman, age 74, of Newaygo passed away on Friday, October 11, 2013 at his home with his family by his side. Ed was born on July 29, 1939 in Detroit to Edward William and Jean Elizabeth (Hennessy) Heideman and married Patricia Ann Urban on August 18, 1962 at the St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Newaygo. Ed was a clerk for the Grand Trunk Railroad and Canadian National Railroad and proudly served his country in the Army. Ed enjoyed spending time with his family and was a Green Bay Packer fan. Ed is survived by his loving wife, Patricia; children, Tamara (Greg) Atwood of Brohman, John Eric Heideman of Jackson, Jeanne (Nolan) Jamieson of Fremont, Thomas (Tammi) Heideman of Grant, Joseph (Kim Ross) Heideman of Ferndale, Stacy (Paul) Klappholz of Clinton Township, Nicole Heideman of Fremont, and Kelly Heideman of Newaygo; 21 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; brothers, Robert (Cynthia) Heideman of California and Fred (Penny) Heideman of Lake Orion; brother-in-law, Joseph Bud (Rosemary) Urban of Midland; and sister-in-law, Sharon (Robert) DenBraber of Grand Rapids. Visitation will be held on Monday evening, October 14 from 6-8 pm at the Crandell Funeral Home in Fremont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am on Tuesday at the St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Newaygo with Father Pete Schafer officiating. Interment will be at Maple Grove Cemetery in Fremont. For a more lasting memorial, friends are asked to consider the Newaygo V.F.W. or St. Bartholomew Catholic Church.
