Eleanor May Botsford, age 78 of Newaygo, passed away Sunday, April 11, 2004 at the Spectrum Health Services Butterworth Campus in Grand Rapids. Eleanor was born on November 26, 1925 in Newaygo to Lloyd and Gladys (Johnson) Turner and married Harold Botsford on February 4, 1942 in Newaygo. Harold preceded her in death on September 13, 1999. She has been a lifelong resident of the Newaygo area where she was a life member of the Newaygo V.F.W. Auxiliary, enjoyed her grandchildren and the flowers in the summertime. She is survived by her children, Ruth (Richard) Lucas of Fremont; Carolyn Carpenter of Fremont; Rex (Judy) Botsford of Grant; Wendy Laisure of Newaygo; Connie Botsford of Newaygo; Lloyd (Vicki) Botsford of Missouri; 15 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; her sister-in-law, Doris Turner of Ludington; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold on September 13, 1999 2 brothers, 1 sister and a great grand daughter, Ashley. Funeral memorial services were held on Thursday, April 22, 2004 at the Newaygo V.F.W. Sportsmans Post #4249 Veterans Memorial Hall 9075 Mason Drive Newaygo, Michigan.
