Obituary

Eleanor Ellie M. Stevens, age 90 of Blue Lake Township, passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at the Heartland Health Care Center in Whitehall. Ellie was born on May 11, 1924 in Montague to William and Mabel (Roberts) Wentworth and later married George Stevens Jr. on November 27, 1945 in Muskegon. George Jr. preceded her in death on November 22, 2006. Ellie had been a homemaker and later worked as a bookkeeper at Teledyne Continental Motors in Muskegon for many years. Ellie enjoyed playing Bingo, visiting with friends, was a member of the Holton American Legion Auxillary and attended the Holton United Methodist Church. Ellie enjoyed spending the winter months in Chandler, Arizona from1982 until 2008. Eleanor is survived by her children, Art (Robin) Stevens of Holton; George (Cindy) Stevens III of Tempe, Arizona; 4 grandchildren, Karyln (Howie) DeGram, Jeremy Stevens, Monica Badeaux; Allen Stevens; 2 step grandchildren, Stacy and Josh; 3 great grandchildren, Gabrielle, Paige and Justina; her sister, Marilyn Fritz of Battle Creek; her brother, Robert (Alice) Wentworth of Boston, Massachutes. Eleanor was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Badeaux and her brother, Albert K. Wentworth. VISITATION : Tuesday, January 13, 2015 from 3-7pm at Crandell Funeral Home Fremont Chapel. FUNERAL SERVICES : Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at 11am at the Holton United Methodist Church 9530 Holton Duck Lake Road INTERMENT : Oakwood Cemetery in Holton. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS : Holton United Methodist Church Memorial Fund or Holton Fire Department.
