Eleanor E. VanderMolen, age 89 of Hesperia, passed away Saturday, January 9, 2010 at her sons home in Cedar Springs following a short illness. Eleanor was born on August 18, 1920 in Grand Rapids to Lubert and Florence (Outhwaite) Isenhoff and married Lloyd VanderMolen on June 1, 1940 in Wyoming Park. Lloyd preceded her in death on June 26, 1995. Eleanor and Lloyd had owned and operated the Wilson Avenue Grocery from 1959 until their retirement in 1972. After retirement they moved to the Hesperia area from Byron Center. Eleanor enjoyed fishing, crossword puzzles, crocheting, playing card games and spending time with her family. Eleanor was a member of the Hesperia Presbyterian Church. Eleanor is survived by her children, Terry (Sue) VanderMolen of Manor, Texas; Judy (Ed) Haase of Hesperia; Ray (Wanda) VanderMolen of Fremont; Gene (Karen) VanderMolen of Cedar Springs; several grandchildren; many great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother. VISITATION : Tuesday, January 19, 2010 from 12-1pm at the Crandell Funeral Home Fremont Chapel. FUNERAL MEMORIAL SERVICES : Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at 1pm at the Crandell Funeral Home Fremont Chapel. INTERMENT : Boynton Cemetery in Byron Center.
