Elsie J. Felix, age 93 of Newaygo, passed away Sunday, September 21, 2003 at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility in Fremont . She was born on February 16, 1910 in Brandon , Pennsylvania to George and Elsie (Kristoffy) Wagasy and married Theodore E. Felix on September 21, 1935 in Detroit . Theodore preceded her in death on December 18, 1977 . Elsie has been a resident of the Newaygo Area since 1968 when she moved from Richmond , Michigan and has been a homemaker. She was a member of the St. Marks Episcopal Church in Newaygo where she was active in the St. Marks Episcopal Church Women, had been active in volunteering at the White Cloud Senior Center, enjoyed playing cards and reading. She is survived by her daughter, Christeen Devroy of Newaygo; her sons, Richard Felix of Richmond, Michigan; Kenneth (Roxane) Felix of Richmond, Michigan; her 8 grandchildren, Richard (Sandy) Devory; Mike (Sheryl) Devroy; Greg (Patty) Devroy; Carrie (Phil) Kuikstra; Julie Felix; Tina Felix; Lisa Felix; Dawn Panzyiak; 19 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore E. Felix on December 18, 1977 ; her sisters, Carolyn, Mary, Margaret; her brothers, James and George. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, September 24, 2003 from the St. Marks Episcopal Church in Newaygo with Rev. Mary Frens-String presiding with interment in the St. Marys Cemetery in Croton Township . Friends are asked to consider the St. Marks Episcopal Church in Newaygo for memorial contributions.
