Elizabeth H. Black, age 66 of Muskegon, passed away Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at the Mercy General Health Partners Sherman Campus following a long illness with cancer. Elizabeth was born on Nov. 19, 1943 in Grand Rapids to Charles and Carmiletta J. (Schmucker) Corner and married Millard Blackie Black on Oct. 23, 1976 in Garden Grove, CA. Blackie preceded her in death on April 28, 2006. Elizabeth and Blackie owned and operated B & J Upholstery for 22 years and enjoyed gardening, doing yard work and being outdoors. She was a member of the St. Thomas Catholic Church in Muskegon. SURVIVORS : children, Terry (Christina) Daisy of Cedar Springs; Nanette Daisy of Bullhead City, AZ; grandchildren, Jeremy Daisy, Cameron Daisy, Cassandra Daisy; brothers and sisters, Marvin (Phyllis) Corner of Marne; Lewis (Roberta) Corner of Coopersville; Doris Shoemaker of Comstock Park; Florence Corner of Big Rapids; Pat Foster of Kent City; Shirley Corner of Newaygo; Bea (John) Bron of Holland; Ora (Joe) Wright of Muskegon; Alice (Jerry) Kahmann of Grant; many nieces and nephews. Preceded by brothers, Ted, Alfred, Jim and sister, Virginia. A memorial Mass and luncheon will be held on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at 5pm at St. Thomas Apostle Catholic Church, 3252 Apple Ave Muskegon MI. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS : American Cancer Society.
