Elizabeth "Betty" Joan Kraus, age 72 of Portage, formerly of White Cloud, passed away Monday, November 14, 2016 at the Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo. Betty was born on February 11, 1944 in Niles, Michigan to Earl and Mary (Rapes) DeVall and later married Charles Kraus on November 11, 1972 in Niles. Charles preceded her in death on February 20, 1998. Betty had been a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in White Cloud, St. Monica's Catholic Church and most recently St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Vicksburg. Betty and Charles had owned and operated Kraus Clothing Store in White Cloud from 1965 until 1982 and enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and spending as much time with her grandchildren as possible, attending their school events and activities.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Tracy (David) Aguillon of Vicksburg; her grandchildren, Madison and Jackson Aguillon of Vicksburg; her sisters, Marie (William) Miller of New Jersey; Carol (Charles ) Shockley of Delaware; her sister-in-law, LouAnn DeVall of Niles; her brother-in-law, Roger (Judy) Kraus of Hesperia; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Charles DeVall.
