Elizabeth D. Nowak, age 87 of Grand Rapids and formerly of White Cloud passed away on Wednesday, May 5, 2004 at the Hospice of Michigan Home of Hope in Grand Rapids. She was born on June 20, 1916 in Grand Rapids to Louis and Helen (Kasanowich) Kozminski and married Frank Carl Nowak on August 7, 1937 in Grand Rapids. She has been a Division Manager for Sears for 19 years until her retirement in 1974. Elizabeth was a faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in White Cloud. Elizabeth is survived by daughters, Mary (Jerry) Embrey of Jenison; Teresa (Michael) Jacobs of Traverse City; sons, Ronald (Judy) Nowak of Paw Paw; Gerald (Mary) Nowak of Kalamazoo; 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; brother and sister, Delores (Edwin) Nawrocki; Henry (Phyllis) Kozminski; Richard (Mary) Kozminski; Bettie Kozminski all of Grand Rapids; Donald Kozminski of Lowell; sisters and brothers in laws, Anne Satkowski; Dorothy Nowak; Caecelia Brown; Angeline (Leon) VanDalsen; Emily (Robert) Huizinga all of Grand Rapids. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Frank in 1987; brother Lawrence Kosminski , sister Eleanore and brother in law, Ernest Wilen; sister, Louise Kolenda and Lorraine Ambrose, brother, Eugene Kozminski. Funeral services were held on Monday, May 10, 2004 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in White Cloud with Rev. Father Tony Russo presiding with interment in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
