Ellis N. Fry, age 84 of White Cloud, passed away Friday, December 8, 2017 at the Transitional Health Services in Fremont. Ellis was born on May 28, 1933 in White Cloud to Louis D. and Elaine Christine (McKinley) Fry and graduated from White Cloud High School. Ellis later married Dorothy Howard on January 20, 1962 in White Cloud. Ellis had worked for Dupont Chemical in Montague for 20 years and later became a corrections officer for the Muskegon Correctional Facility until his retirement in 1991. Ellis enjoyed hunting, bowling, socializing with his friends, watching sports on television and playing cards especially, solitare, cribbage and euchre. Ellis treasured the time he spent with his grandchildren and loved to travel to their sporting events to watch them. Ellis was also a charter member of the White Cloud Eagles

Ellis is survived by his wife, Dorothy; his children, Terri (Charles) Oyler of Muskegon; Patti (David) McGough of Muskegon; Karen (Alvin) Baird of Fremont; Edward (Lisa) Fry of Rockford; 8 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; his sister, Lois Dunham of Greenville; his sister-in-law, Jeri Fry of White Cloud; several nieces and nephews. Ellis was preceded in death by his brother, Allen Fry and his brother-in-law, Charles Dunham.

VISTATION : Friday, December 15, 2017 from 12-2pm at Crandell Funeral Home – White Cloud Chapel 1109 Court Street White Cloud MI 49349. FUNERAL SERVICES : Friday, December 15, 2017 at 2pm at the Crandell Funeral Home – White Cloud Chapel. INTERMENT : Lincoln Township Cemetery. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS : Alzheimer's Association.
