Elvira Penland, age 92 of White Cloud, passed away Wednesday, January 03, 2001 at the Transitional Health Services in Fremont. She was born on March 8, 1908 to George and Hattie (Shaver) Hills and married Wesley Penland Sr. on March 12, 1925 in White Cloud. She has been a lifelong resident of the White Cloud area where she had worked at the White Cloud Products Company for many years until her retirement. She is survived by her son, Wesley (Barb) Penland Jr. of White Cloud; grandchildren, Leon Penland of East Jordan, MI; Don (Linda) Penland of Brohman; Steve (Peggy) Penland of White Cloud; Mike (Sue) Penland of White Cloud; Yvonne (Kevin) Loucks of White Cloud; one brother, Samuel (Carol) Hills of Fremont; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held on Saturday, January 6, 2001 from the Crandell Funeral Home Chapel in White Cloud with Pastor Lucky Fulton presiding with interment in the Lincoln Township Cemetery.
