Cross, Elwin "Al" Cross Elwin Al Cross, age 68 of White Cloud, formerly of Muskegon , passed away Tuesday morning at his home. He was born on September 19, 1935 in Muskegon to Leman G. and Laura (Fox) Cross and later graduated from Orchard View High School . He married Susan Tank on June 19, 1992 in Milwaukee , Wisconsin and moved from Milwaukee back to White Cloud in 2001. Al had been the Vice President of Operations for the Curtis Ambulance Service in Milwaukee until his retirement. He was the founder of the Juvenile Accountability Program in Racine County , Wisconsin which was eventually adopted by the State of Wisconsin ; had served as a Racine County Municipal Judge; was the recipient of the Jefferson Award in Wisconsin; was instrumental in establishing the current EMS system in Racine County , Wisconsin and enjoyed horses, fishing, and boating. He is survived by his wife, Susan of White Cloud; his children, Danny Ray (Paula) Cross of Muskegon; Cynthia Kay (Greg) Mackowiak of Chicago; Mark Elwin Cross of Glenwood Springs, CO; Cathy Duchow-Cross of Windlake, WI; his grandchildren, Danielle (Shawn) Kettler; Joshua Jansen; Sarah Mackowiak; Matthew Mackowiak; Andrea Mackowiak; Justin Cross; Jamie Cross; Joshua Cross; Ashley Duchow; Cody Cross; Mitchell Cross; his sisters, Doris Simonelli of Muskegon; Nancy (Lee) Bevins of Muskegon; his brother, Donald (Karen) Cross of Fremont; many nieces and nephews; his father-in-law, Howard N. Tank of Milwaukee, WI; his brother-in-laws, Richard (Mari) Tank of Shepherd, MI; William Tank of Milwaukee, WI. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leman G. And Laura Cross; his son, Randall Wayne Cross on Nov. 20, 1982 ; his brother-in-law, Marino Simonelli; his mother-in-law, Doris Tank. Funeral memorial services were held on Saturday, November 8, 2003 from the Crandell Funeral Home White Cloud Chapel with Rev. John Moser of the Newaygo County Chaplaincy Service presiding.
