Elwin Al John Borgman Sr., age 78 of White Cloud, passed away Thursday, December 18, 2014 at his home. Al was born on April 3, 1936 in Fremont and graduated from Fremont High School. He married Peggy Ann in August 1959, had been a self-employed carpenter and served his country in the United States Army. Al enjoyed mushrooming, fishing, playing horse shoes, and spending time with his family. Al is survived by his children, Elwin Borgman Jr. of White Cloud; Mark Borgman of Newaygo; Matt (Nancy) Borgman of Wasilla, Alaska; Wendy (Rod) Canniff of Fremont; Debbie (Roger) Lance of White Cloud; Pam Borgman and Aleeya Grifford of White Cloud; 14 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; sisters, Hope (LeRoy) Stratton and Norma Bouwkamp; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy in 2005; parents, Herman and Henrietta Borgman; and sister, Faith Dennis. There will be visitation on Sunday, December 21, 2014, from 5-7 PM at the Crandell Funeral Home in White Cloud with a private interment in the Sherman Township Cemetery.
