Emery C. Tuffy Willson, age 72 of White Cloud, passed away Friday, July 11, 2008 at the Spectrum Health Butterworth Campus in Grand Rapids following complications from heart surgery. Emery was born on April 5, 1936 in Hesperia to Leonard and Utah (Young) Willson and met and later married Esther Kerstein on April 27, 1957 in White Cloud. Emery has been a lifelong resident of the area where he had been a dairy farmer for many years until he sold his herd in 1997. Tuffy never retired from farming and continued to farm to the present time. He also enjoyed cutting lumber and operated a sawmill at his farm, did butchering and meat processing with his wife, Esther for many years and enjoyed snowmobiling and restoring and tinkering with tractors. Tuffy was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church in White Cloud. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Esther of White Cloud; his children, Randy (Margaret) Willson of White Cloud; Peggy (Keith) Derks of White Cloud; Ricky (Delvina) Willson of Smyrna, Delaware; Harry (Terri) Willson of White Cloud; 14 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; his brother, Joseph (Marilyn) Willson of Marshall, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Specialist Brian Derks on August 13, 2005. VISITATION : Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8pm at Crandell Funeral Home White Cloud Chapel. FUNERAL SERVICES : Monday at 1pm at the Christ Lutheran Church in White Cloud. INTERMENT : White Cloud Cemetery.
