Emily Grace Mata, age 41, of Fort Worth, Texas (formerly of Fremont, Michigan), passed away on June 29, 2023, after a long illness. She was born on May 13, 1982, at Fort Sill, Oklahoma to Chris (Jodie Mckeown) Hanna. Emily is survived by her children, Kelsey Mata, Isaah Mata, Ryan Mata, and Desiree Mata; her father, Chris (Wendy) Hanna of White Cloud, Michigan; her brothers and sisters, Crystal (Joe) Powell of Fort Worth, Texas, Jeremy (Kelly Stout) Hanna of Petoskey, Michgian, Tony (Alisha) Hanna of Grant, Michigan, Jennifer (Steven) Veach of White Cloud, Michigan, Matthew (Haley Wireman) Hanna of White Cloud, Michigan; and by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends. Emily was preceded in death by her mother, Jodie (Mckeown) Fairchild and grandparents Julius and Patricia Hanna of Fremont. There will be a celebration of life for Emily from 1 – 4 PM on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at the New Life Assembly of God Church with Pastor Glen Jefferey officiating.
