Emma Wohl, age 88 of Fremont, passed away Wednesday, November 03, 2004 at the Metron Nursing Center in Kalamazoo. Emma was born on September 25, 1916 to Arnold and Yolan (Detrich) Wohl in Hungary and later immigrated to the United States. She had been resident of the Fremont area for the past 10 years when she moved from Detroit where she had been an underwriter for Macabees, currently Sun Life Insurance Company in Detroit until her retirement. She had been active in the Fremont Book Club, enjoyed classical music and lighthouses. She is survived by her niece, Jean (Jack) Smith of Fremont; 2 great nephews, Wesley Smith of Wellston; Craig Smith of Grand Rapids. She was preceded in death by a sister, Irma Haskin and by a brother, Arnold Bandi Wohl. Private services were held at the family home following cremation.
