Eric "Rick" L. Ashcroft, age 75, formerly of Fremont and Pensacola, Florida passed away on Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at Hillcrest Nursing Center in North Muskegon. Rick was born on November 8, 1942, in Fremont and had been and assistant manager for a savings and loan company most of his life. Rick faithfully served his country during the Vietnam War and was extremely proud to be a United States Marine. Rick was a member of the Marine Corps League Detachment #703 in Muskegon. Rick is survived by his son, Brent (Lisa) Ashcroft; 2 grandchildren; brother, Lon Ashcroft of Fremont; nieces Andrea (Derk) Teusink and Linnea Lehmann; and nephew, Jeff Ashcroft. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Cedric Ashcroft in 1984. Military graveside services will be held at Maple Grove Cemetery in Fremont on Saturday, May 5, 2018, at 11 AM to honor Rick's service.
