Buckner, Erma Erma Buckner, age 94 of Newaygo, passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2000 at the Northern Michigan Hospital in Petosky. She was born on June 29, 1905 in Columbiaville, New York to Burton Clarence and Clara Elizabeth (Freehan) Frezon and married Winfield Buckner on March 6, 1937 in Hazel Park, Michigan. Winfield preceded her in death in 1982. She has been a resident of the Newaygo area for the past 35 years where she has been a homemaker and member of the Grace Bible Church in Newaygo. She is survived by her daughters, Jean (Lyman) Lindsey of Newaygo; Mary Louise (George) Lockery of Newaygo; Marion Sevarns of Carp Lake, Michigan; 5 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; many great great grandchildren. Funeral graveside services were held on Friday, April 21, 2000 from the Newaygo Cemetery with Pastor Clint Abbott of the Christ Celebration Church presiding.
