Ernie Boyer, age 86, of Fremont, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2009, at Mercy General Health Partners Mercy Campus in Muskegon. Ernie was born on February 23, 1923, in Onterio, Canada, and was a service manager for Michigan Consolidated Gas Company. Ernie was an Army Veteran of WWII. Ernie is survived by his wife, Margaret Boyer of Fremont; children, Paulette Boyer of Tampa, FL., David (Gayle) Boyer of Grand Rapids, Dan Boyer of Grand Rapids, and Kimbely Jonker (soon to be son-in-law Seth Middlecamp) of Fruitport; 3 grandchildren, Ryanne Richards, Brian Boyer, and Carman (Brian) Steffens; 2 great grandchildren, Devin and Cayden Steffens; and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his sister Jackie Allard. A Memorial Mass was held at 11 AM on Friday, May 8, 2009, at All Saints Catholic Church in Fremont.
