Esther Dickinson, age 88 of Fremont, passed away, Sunday, May 28, 2006 at the Bortz Health Care in Traverse City, Michigan. Esther was born on February 18, 1918 in Aetna, Michigan to Joe and Anna (Hoppa) Cornwall. Esther attended school in Hart and Ludington and later graduated from Fremont High School in 1936 and later married Walter Bill Dickinson on March 12, 1938 in Muskegon. Bill preceded her in death in August 1983. Esther and Bill lived their entire married life on Ramshorn Drive in Fremont and for many years represented Fremonts Old Fashioned Days with their horses and carriages. Esther moved to Traverse City in 2002 where she enjoyed playing cards and listening to music groups. One of her favorite pastimes was playing Bingo. She is survived by her daughters, Sally (Bob) Carbine of Fremont; Susan (John) Donahue of Traverse City; 3 grandchildren, Amy (Joe) Stauffer of Allentown, PA; Tara Donahue of Lansing; Tanya Donahue of Traverse City. She was preceded in death by her brother, John Cornwall in 1979. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, May 31, 2006 from the Crandell Funeral Home Fremont Chapel with Rev. Larry Wood of the Fremont United Methodist Church presiding with interment in the Maple Grove Cemetery.
