Esther Ann Van Etten, age 76 of White Cloud, passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at the Corewell Health Butterworth following a short illness. Esther was born on September 17, 1946 in Fremont to Frank and Evelyn (Shephard) Roe and graduated from White Cloud High School in 1965. Esther married Donald Van Etten on December 23, 1966 in Grand Rapids and has been a lifelong resident of the White Cloud area. Esther had been a caregiver and homemaker all her life and enjoyed reading, shopping, spending time with her family and enjoyed her favorite flower, pansies. Esther is survived by her husband, Donald of White Cloud; her children and grandchildren, Coral Lee Syswerda of Riverview, Florida and her sons, John Syswerda and Josh (Destiny) Syswerda; Bonnie Harrald of White Cloud and her children, Eric and Amber Harrald; Daniel Van Etten of Newaygo and his children, Austin and Lauryn; Annette Van Etten of White Cloud; her sisters, May Schrader, Ellen Chamberlain; her brother, David Guiher; several nieces and nephews. Esther was preceded in death by her sister and brothers, John Guiher, James Fay Guiher, and Elmo Guiher.
